Knebworth House is a Tudor-Gothic style country house in Hertfordshire. Used as a filming location in various films and TV such as The Crown, Paddington 2 and more. Take a guided tour around 500 years of British architecture and the personal taste of the Lytton Family. After the tour concludes, you are the free to explore the park and gardens at your leisure.

With over 1800 acres of parkland, gardens and a brand new all-weather path to enjoy, Ickworth is the perfect place to get back to nature. Discover the miles of rolling landscape, ancient woodlands and gorgeous gardens. Head to the rotunda to see Ickworth's wealth of treasures. We then head over to Lavenham for a spot cream tea and delicious cakes.

Winston and Clementine Churchill bought Chartwell in 1922; it would be their family home for the next 40 years. The house is filled with Churchill's treasures, gifts and personal belongings, presented as they knew it. With a formal Rose Garden and a Walled Kitchen Garden and a wide woodland estate there's lots of nature to get lost in. Included is the home of the largest collection of Winton Churchill's paintings. Interactive displays offer insight into Churchill as a painter.

A favourite excursion of ours returns once again this September. We head down to (hopefully) Sunny Suffolk to spend some time in Southwold, a quintessentially British seaside town with plenty to see and do. We then head over to Dunwich for some of our favourite delicious fish and chips.

Join us for some free time in Ipswich and peruse the waterfront full of cafes, galleries and shops. Then we head for a 2-hour cruise with Orwell Lady River Trips for a peaceful time on the river, passing The Cathouse (with its smuggler tales) on the way to view beautiful Pin Mill, home to Arthur Ransome, before returning through the Prince Philip Lock to Orwell Quay.

The Sandringham Game and Country Fair run by Living Heritage offers old favourites such as Jousting, Falconry, Scurry Driving and Gun Dog displays. With event arenas running throughout the day. Watch traditional working crafts and demonstrations such as  wood turning, walking-stick making, artists and blacksmiths at work in the craft village and sample an array of local and national food and drink producers such as wines, cheeses, pies, meats and cakes to name a few!

Surrounded by countryside with 1,000 years of history to explore, Bury St Edmunds is the home of Saint Edmund, the original patron Saint of England.
Shopping in Bury St Edmunds offers plenty of choice with a great mix of fantastic independents and High Street favourites. There are beautiful outdoor spaces to explore and a plentiful arts scene including theatre, live music, film and art.

Camden Market is a beautiful marketplace  filled with a labyrinth of cultures and subcultures. Lined with a plethora of stalls and shops there's plenty to peruse at the market. After you're all shopped-out, we spend the rest of the day sailing along the river on the Camden Lock River Cruise!

The favourite daytrip where no one quite knows where we are going not even us!

Cambridge is a well-known, prestigious city with lots to see and do. Take the morning at your own pace and wander around the city centre before we meet up in the afternoon for the Botanic Gardens.

Cambridge University's Botanic Gardens hold a collection of over 8,000  beautiful plant species from all over the world to facilitate research and teaching.

One of the 'gems' in Suffolk's crown, Woodbridge combines excellent shops with superb pubs and restaurants and numerous activities both inside and out. After spending the day mooching around the market, we head across the River Deben to Sutton Hoo, the ancient site of two Anglo-Saxon burials, one of which belonged to East-Anglian king Raedwald.

Joining the train at Duffield Station we steam along the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, Derbyshire's Longest Heritage Railway. Boarding at Duffield we travel for 9 miles up to the idyllic market town Wirksworth, revisiting the Rolling Hills of Derbyshire in its Autumnal Colours along the way.

Cannon Hall Farm is a large, family-run farm attraction in the rolling Pennine foothills. With plenty of common farmyard animals including cows, goats, sheep, horses and even more exotic animals like alpacas. There are incredible indoor and outdoor play areas.
