From Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October we head off the Jewel of the Solent - The Isle of Wight!
Staying at the Ocean View Hotel in Shanklin visits include Osborne House, the Needles, and a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. We also include time at leisure in Sandown, Ryde, Cowes and Yarmouth along with a Hovercraft experience across the Solent - with (Hopefully!) Lunch and meeting the pilot!

What a treat you’re in for this Autumn! Join us for a five-day getaway to the enchanting Isle of Wight, a place of stunning coastal views, timeless charm, and fascinating history. We’ll be staying at the welcoming Ocean View Hotel in Shanklin on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis – the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and soak up the sea air after days spent exploring this island gem.


Our adventure begins as we set sail from Southampton to Cowes, enjoying the scenic crossing that sets the tone for a wonderful break ahead. During our stay, we’ll uncover some of the island’s most iconic sights, including a visit to the magnificent Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s beloved seaside retreat, and the breathtaking Needles, one of Britain’s most photographed landmarks.


Step back in time with a nostalgic journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, where the sights, sounds, and scents of a bygone era come to life. But the excitement doesn’t end there — we’ll also hover across the Solent for a special trip to Southampton, where we’ll enjoy lunch and a fascinating meeting with the pilot of our hovercraft!


With free time to explore Sandown, Ryde, East Cowes, and Yarmouth (not the Norfolk one!), there’s plenty of opportunity to soak up the island’s coastal charm, browse its independent shops, and perhaps enjoy an ice cream by the sea.
