Springtime ride out to Bircham Windmill, Sunny Hunny & Wells next The Sea
Tuesday 7th April 2026

Bircham Windmill still looks as it did over 100 years ago. At that time over 300 mills ground corn for horse & cattle feed and bread-making in Norfolk. Today, very few windmills are left, and Bircham Mill is considered one of the best still remaining: it is the only windmill in working order in this area open to the public. We will also spend time exploring Hunstanton in the Sun and Wells Next The Sea.

Saffron Walden on Market Day & Cream tea in Lavenham
Tuesday 21st April 2026

There’s something special about a day spent exploring the historic towns of rural England, especially when it includes bustling markets, timber-framed streets and a classic cream tea. Our day began in the beautiful market town of Saffron Walden and ended in the postcard-perfect village of Lavenham, with plenty of charm in between. After a leisurely morning exploring the market, we set off through the gentle countryside of Essex and Suffolk toward Lavenham. The drive itself is part of the experience, with winding country lanes, rolling farmland and picturesque villages along the way. Settling into a cosy tearoom, we were served warm, freshly baked scones alongside thick clotted cream and sweet strawberry jam, accompanied by a pot of perfectly brewed tea. It’s a simple pleasure, but one that somehow tastes even better surrounded by centuries-old beams and views of cobbled streets.
Southwold in the Morning Followed by Fish & Chips in Dunwich
Friday 24th April 2026

Our day begins in the beautiful coastal town of Southwold, where colourful beach huts line the promenade and the fresh sea breeze instantly puts you in holiday mode. A stroll along the seafront and the iconic Southwold Pier is a must, with its quirky charm, independent shops and stunning views out across the North Sea.
After soaking up the seaside atmosphere, we took a short drive along the Suffolk coast to the peaceful village of Dunwich — a place steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Waiting for us there was a well-earned treat at Flora Tea Rooms. Their fish and chips are the perfect coastal comfort food — freshly cooked, golden and crispy, and best enjoyed outside in the garden with the sound of birds and the sea breeze in the background.
From seaside strolls to the perfect plate of fish and chips, this is one of those days that reminds you how special the Suffolk coast is.

Matt & Pete and their Springtime Derbyshire Special
Wednesday 29th April 2026

Following the success of last year, we're back for another adventure to enjoy the Rolling hills, winding country lanes and views that seem to stretch forever — the countryside is simply breathtaking. A short visit is all it takes to appreciate why this part of England is so loved by walkers, photographers and anyone looking to escape into nature.
Much of the county lies within the stunning Peak District National Park, where dramatic landscapes, peaceful valleys and charming stone villages create the perfect setting for a relaxing day out. Every turn in the road reveals another postcard-worthy view.
Whether it’s a scenic drive, a countryside walk or just stopping to admire the views, a day in Derbyshire is a reminder of just how beautiful the English countryside can be. Sometimes you only need a day to fall in love with a place... (and hopefully not your drivers!)
